CNN: Trump asked Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein if “he was on his team”

From Wiki

CNN is reporting that President Trump may have again obstructed justice during a December meeting with deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein.

From CNN

“Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein visited the White House in December seeking President Donald Trump’s help. The top Justice Department official in the Russia investigation wanted Trump’s support in fighting off document demands from House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes.

But the President had other priorities ahead of a key appearance by Rosenstein on the Hill, according to sources familiar with the meeting. Trump wanted to know where the special counsel’s Russia investigation was heading. And he wanted to know whether Rosenstein was “on my team.”
The revelation is as eye popping as Trump’s alleged interactions with former FBI director James Comey, there has been public and legal concern that the President has used the power of his office to influence the judicial branch of the government, and this alleged circumstance is the latest in series of potentially illegal actions by Mr. Trump.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller is almost certainly aware of this supposed meeting as he already has interviewed Rod Rosenstein, the scoop adds another layer to the mountain of inculpatory evidence that the Presidet is running amuck in the oval office.
As Trump’s interview with Mueller draws closer, a fresh story depicting the President obstructing justice is exactly what the White House didn’t need 24 hours after his state of the union address.
