Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn faced a torrent of unwanted attention yesterday when a nude photo of Tiger Woods was broadcasted to the internet.
Woods and Vonn were not the only victims, Miley Cyrus, Katherine McPhee, Kristen Stewart, and Stella Maxwell all saw private pictures go public.
The dump is the work of hackers, although nobody has thus far claimed responsibility.
Tiger Woods allegedly sent the released photo to Vonn at some point during the relationship, why Vonn retained the photo is another question.
The website that posted the photos, Celeb Jihad, has refused to take down the images, even after being threatened with legal action.
Tastie Fish won’t post the dump, but you can find it here.
Celeb Jihad seems to believe that what they have done is lawful, but that won’t save the hacker who is responsible for the breach, that individual will assume serious civil liability, as will the website.
The situation feels like Hulk Hogan vs Gawker, there is legal precedence for the definition of privacy in the information age.
