Visionary filmaker Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy) is making his return to the big screen next summer with a potentially stunning adaptation of the famous battle of Dunkirk.
The Battle of Dunkirk took place in Dunkirk, France, during the Second World War between the Allies and Nazi Germany. As part of the Battle of France on the Western Front, the Battle of Dunkirk was the defence and evacuation of British and Allied forces in Europe from 26 May – 4 June 1940.
The battle stands as one of the turning points of the second world war, and the masterful mind of Christopher Nolan will helm this pulse pounding drama that will almost certainly be a contender to bring home several Academy Awards.
