From Tastie FishMayor Toni Harp celebrated her nomination as the democratic nominee in this November’s Mayoral election with a rousing endorsement rally at the Zion Church on Dixwell avenue.
Joined by Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, and James Clyburn, Harp thanked her supporters, and set the table for the future should she be elected to a 3rd term as the Mayor of New Haven.
Mayor Harp is the odds on favorite to win the election, but her supporters and staff are still aggressively campaigning as November approaches.
Harp, Rosa, and Clyburn all gave rousing speeches, and they did it at a church that was a franchise location of the underground rail road.
James Clyburn spoke about African American history, the importance of education.
DeLauro’s speech was the highlight of the night, the Congresswoman stole the show.
We have posted all three speeches, we hope you enjoy!
