New Haven annnounces street closings and schedule for Grand Prix

New Haven – The City of New Haven will host the third annual New Haven Grand Prix Bicycle Races and Street Festival tomorrow. The event brings professional level bicycle racing to downtown New Haven, accompanied by a boisterous street festival that features outdoor dining options from some of New Haven’s finest restaurants and food trucks, as well as local and regional vendors.  

 The New Haven Grand Prix brings family fun downtown and also prompts traffic restrictions and road closures. Spectators and enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their families and park in one of the Park New Haven garages on Temple Street or Crown Street, just a few blocks from the festivities.

 Please note the following No Parking Orders and Road Closures for Friday September 15:

 College Street –     From Crown Street to Elm Street – Posted No Parking 11:00 AM;

                                    Road Closed 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM

 Chapel Street –       From Temple Street to High Street – Posted No Parking  1:00 PM

                                    Road Closed 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM

High Street               From Chapel Street to Elm Street – Posted No Parking 1:00 PM

                                    Road Closed 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM

 

Temple Street         From Chapel Street to Elm Street – Posted No Parking 1:00 PM
