Paced by incredible sourced reporting, and extensive physical documentation, Buzzfeed published a scathing long form piece on the popular conservative website Breibart early Friday morning.
Breibart rose to national prominence during the general election cycle by creating and then riding a wave of anger, desperation, and white nationalism according to documents obtained by Buzzfeed.
Many times over the last year or so, the Breibart newsroom has denied that the entire platform is built on white identity politics, the editors argue that the magazine is a political hub, not an online city hall for neo nazis, or card carrying members of the Alt Right.
Those denials were never truly accepted by the majority of the American public, one only needs to look at the content Breibart has published over the last year to conclude that the editorial agenda goes far beyond journalism.
These people are after the soul of America, and they truly believe the country is too dense to realize it.
Breibart publishes meaningful copy from time to time, but reads more like Trump run media than honest objective journalism.
Buzzfeed put an abrupt end to the speculation this morning.
Briebart is without question a conduit for Americans that subscribe to hate based ideals, the type citizens that embrace Holocaust denial, or spark up tiki torches during Klan rallies.
Steve Bannon is featured prominently in the report despite the fact that he declined to comment.
The report spotlights email exchanges between Steve Bannon and editor Milo Yiannopoulos that take readers behind closed doors, the real time arguments among the editorial staff at Breibart are far from normal, they are much more concerned with sewing social chaos than informing the public.
There is no ethics to be found in this report, just a troll job of historical scale.
The story reveals that Milo Yiannopoulos routinely consulted with neo nazi based publications before publishing copy, in some cases he allowed them to have direct imput.
But the email exchanges with Bannon tell us everything we need to know about who these people are, and what the overall mission was/is.
Here is a passage from the story.
“On December 8, the New York Times published a major story about the radicalization of American Muslims on Facebook. Yiannopoulos published a story called “Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive and Crazy.”
That afternoon, Bannon emailed Yiannopoulos and Marlow.
“Dude—we r in a global existentialist war where our enemy EXISTS in social media and u r jerking yourself off w/ marginalia!!!! U should be OWNING this conversation because u r everything they hate!!! Drop your toys, pick up your tools and go help save western civilization.”
“Message received,” Yiannopoulos wrote back. “I will do a Week of Islam next week.”
“U don’t need that,” Bannon responded. “Just get in the fight—ur Social Media and they have made it a powerful weapon of war. … There is no war correspondent in the west yet dude and u can own it and be remember for 3 generations–or sit around wasting your God-given talents jerking off to your fan base.”
The most terrifying aspect of the story is the fact that Steve Bannon was later appointed to a high ranking position within the White House, Bannon had direct influence on the general direction of the country, and the President himself.
President Trump will have trouble denying that he is sympathetic to white nationalists after Buzzfeed’s report, why else would he appoint someone as off the rails as Bannon was during the advanced stages of the election?
Those emails are in black and white, there is no denying the movement that Briebart successfully touched off, or their intentions when doing so.
This report is a wake up call, solid confirmation that the President of the United States siezed the oval office with a major league assist from the eternally angry white nationalist movement in this country, and that the primary channel of the rage was Breibart.
America was ambushed last summer, it’s shame we are only confirming it now.
