3 reasons President Trump will resign or be impeached by Memorial day 2018

From CNN

Prior to the House Intelligence Committee’s hearing on Russian meddling in the election, the potential impeachment of President Donald Trump seemed unrealistic for the time being.

While  it’s a conventional battle cry for the opposition, there has to be academic basis for it to happen.

The GOP controlled house has fought tooth and nail to protect the embattled President, and along with him, diverted the multitude of concerning issues raised both by his rise to the Presidency, and his conduct after the general election.

But this goes beyond impeachment, there is too many actors involved in this flimflam to focus on the downfall of only one player.

Because of the questionable behavior of the Trump’s campaign, and his transition team, an impeachment would be but the precursor.

Criminal prosecution of Trump, and his cohorts, would come after he resigns, or is removed from  office.

But all things considered, Trump’s Presidency won’t make it to Memorial day 2018, and if it does, I will shave my head into a Mohawk.

The only caveat to my proclamation, is if the GOP stonewalls the investigation for longer than expected, or Trump himself fights tooth and nail to prolong his removal.

Here are 3 reasons why his ejection is all but assured at this point.

  1. The FBI is motivated, and focused on Russiagate

The House Intelligence committee hearing on Monday was unprecendented political theater, Watergate does not even come close. During that hearing FBI Director James Comey confirmed for the first time that Trump and his associates were the subject of a criminal probe for illicit ties to, and communications with the Russian Federation.

He also refused to answer any questions that could provide insight to the subjects of the probe, which was frustrating, but required.

The probe started in July, and what’s terrifying the White House, is the fact that they were under investigation for months and did not realize it.

From Wiki

This is why the President lashed out about wiretapping, his false claims were made out of fear, like the rest of us, the President was clearly blindsided that communications of his may have been collected.

An innocent man would not react the way the President did, and it not help that his selective tweeting during the hearing seemed to attack the FBI, which did not seem like the best idea.

Not when the FBI is collecting intelligence with a FISA warrant in their hands.

In fact, Devin Nunes, a ranking member of the HIC admitted TODAY that President Trump’s communications “were collected as a result of incidental collection”. Nunes also confirmed that it was perfectly legal, and done under the premise of a FISA warrant.

A FISA warrant is as intense as it gets, once obtained, investigators can scan your entire life, nothing is out of bounds, because the warrant is designed to collect information on a person acting in the interest of a foreign power against the United States government.

This extends from your home to bathroom breaks.

All nefarious actions, any sweet heart deals, anything illegal that took place between July and now has been collected and torn apart by investigators.

Many of the alleged transgressions took place during that time span, so in reality, the FBI has been running a sting operation without actually pouncing, they have allowed Trump and his team to bury themselves one by one.

At some point, people will start flipping on the each other, acts of sedition, treason, or espionage carry stringent sentencing guidelines with jail being the least of it.

None of the players involved will want to deal with that type of scrutiny.

Michael Flynn will almost certainly be prosecuted by the summer, Jeff Sessions committed perjury during his confirmation hearing and conducted questionable meetings during the campaign, Roger Stone has admitted to being in communications with citizens who committed an acts of war against our infrastructure, Paul Manafort has so many ties to Russia we lost count, and the list goes on and on.

One of these citizens will turn states evidence, they will have no choice.

By the letter of the law, per the constitution of the United States of America, articles of impeachment can be brought against Trump on the following basis if he is implicated in any way at the conclusion of the investigation.

From Wiki

Article I § 2 of the United States Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power to impeach (make formal charges against) and Article I § 3 gives the Senate the sole power to try impeachments. Article II § 4 of the Constitution provides as follows:

“The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Unlike Bill Clinton, Trump is not being investigated for committing merely perjury, a FISA warrant implies high crimes against the United States of America.

He could avoid criminal prosecution if Mike Pence were to pardon him the way Gerald Ford pardoned RichardNixon, but he cannot avoid impeachment if American intelligence can prove that he was complicit in an international conspiracy.

Which it appears they can, the FISA court would not issue a warrant if they did not have reason to believe something was there, and the FBI would not continue to escalate the investigation if it was not bearing fruit.

2. He violated his oath of office with the wiretapping tweets

During his rage episode after learning he was being criminally investigated, Trump jumped on Twitter 3 weeks ago, and sent the following tweets.

In the subsequent weeks he would refuse to provide evidence thatBarack Obama directly ordering his phone at Trump tower to be tapped, but would continue to double down on the allegation as the entire government shot it down.

Senators on both sides of the aisle, the intelligence community, not one person of judicial influence concurred with Trumps accusation.

Then on Monday, James Comey, and the director of the NSA debunked the claim entirely, as did the justice department.

Since then?

No word from the President.

Press secretary Sean Spicer has attempted to back away from the Tweets, but they were so unambiguous that he is finding that nearly impossible.

It’s clear to everyone that Trump does not have evidence, and to those that believe Devin Nunes revealing Trump might have been tapped somehow vindicates the President need to read between the lines.

From Wiki

Nunes confirmed the exsistence of a FISA warrant, he said nothing about Barack Obama ordering it, which he is prevented from doing by the justice system.

A sitting President being investigated for treason has no precedent, and such an occurrence was revealed a couple hours ago.

So Trump’s lie remains a lie, and that needs to be examined.

From Twitter

When he was sworn in as President of the United States, he took an oath of office

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States

Trump’s tweets certainly are not faithfully executing his office, by definition according to this oath, Trump is under oath at all times.

Tweeting out destructive and false allegations to distract the American people is not only perjury per the oath of office, it’s failing to protect and preserve the Constitution of the United States.

On top of the fact that Trump’s potential Russian entanglements would be yet another direct violation of this oath.

This legal loop hole will only augment the articles of impeachment.

3, Conflict of interest

Because the President won’t release his tax returns, were are not totally sure what baskets his hands are in, but we believe his relationships extend all over the world.

Banks, properties, hedge funds, his portfolio is more diverse than we can possibly fathom, and who knows what has gone on behind the scenes as the result of his presidency.

Trump, and his children, have been leveraging the oval office to generate windfalls not only for the family business, but all of the subsidiaries that they run on the side.

Ivanka Trump, who markets her brand constantly, has an office in the west wing complete with security clearance, and all the perks of a federal official without a confirmation hearing, or any sort of scrutiny whatsoever.

Trump made two mistakes, he didn’t totally divest from all his business relationships or the Trump organization.

He also has made concessions to countries where his business reside, just take a look at the proven havens for terrorist that were left out of his initial travel ban.

Saudi Arabia, the country that produced almost 95% of the criminals that conducted the 911 terror attacks, was left on the list, and was not added to the new one.

It’s not coincidence that Trump has done business with that country, so while the whole point of his bigoted ban is to protect Americans, he for whatever reason is not targeting the citizens that played a huge part in 911.

Trump also didn’t place the sum total of his holdings in a blind trust, which makes him vulnerable to the Emoluments clause.

The emoluments clause clause is serious business, just ask Jimmy Carter.

Carter placed his little peanut farm into a blind trust to avoid any appearance of impropriety before taking the White House, and the 76th governor of Georiga was hardly a billionaire.

From Wiki

The criminal investigation will almost certainly bring about Trump’s tax returns, and if the IRS and the DOJ find evidence that Trump is compromised because of his business relationships, it will only add to the articles of impeachment, because there is no reason to believe that the Trump family has not already profited from the Presidency.

We cannot take the risk that American policy decisions are being influenced the Trump organizations quarterly reports.

I give the President a little over a year, it seems he would want to avoid the humiliation of being removed from office, and could step down as his entire team goes down for the count.

From CNN

The shame of his team being indicted will throw a black cloud over his fitness to serve as commander and chief, the calls to resign could end up being more powerful than the articles of impeachment.

We have to see I suppose, this party should start to take shape over the next 5 months.
